They are crafted from extremely elegant, high-quality, luxurious, silky satin, ensuring each runner will look fantastic after one use or many. They can be laid flat, tied into a knot on the ends (see images above), or gathered together on the ends using a napkin ring (not included). All of the runners’ edges are finished and serged/overlocked with color-matched thread. This process, also known as merrowing, results in a tightly sewn, very narrow (1/16 inch wide) stitching around the borders. This keeps the runners from fraying and stretching unnaturally, and gives you a magnificent, uniform presentation every time you use them. Each runner is cut entirely from one single piece of fabric so you won’t see any seams, and they are also stain resistant and washable; the color-fast dyes will not bleed, run or transfer.
